RESPONSIBILITIES


Client relationships and profitability

  • Manage all aspects of portfolio’s business with superior customer service while maximizing business opportunities
  • Establish and grow a strong relationship with multiple senior client stakeholders through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of the application to business challenges
  • Grow your influence within your client base by continuing to meet new contacts and develop additional relationships 

 

Client growth and sales

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients for a target of ~$7MM in revenue, delivering integrated solutions to clients’ business challenges
  • Identify new business opportunities, collaborating to deliver scopes of work and revenue to expand and extend the partnership 
  • Create plans and track success measures to manage and drive revenue growth for the assigned book of business

 

Client project leadership 

  • Close business and set up work delivery teams for success with a strong objectives and a clear picture of success
  • Ensure overall quality of work and objective adherence on assigned accounts 
  • Work with internal and external teams to measure performance, suggesting and implementing new measurement frameworks when needed
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams to create successful client deliverables
  • Champion our strategic and creative product by actively participating in work development on behalf of the client and providing input/approval of all strategic and creative work as it applies to long-term client strategy prior to client reviews or presentations

 

People leadership

  • Identify, work through, and solve for conflict situations (internally and externally)
  • Act as an open and willing resource to team members in assessing ideas and directions, and providing guidance to push further
  • Behave as a positive role model through example
  • Mentor the team to maximize individuals’ growth, and harness the strengths and opportunities of each team member
  • Work closely with direct report(s) to optimize any revenue opportunities within the agency at large

 

Consulting

  • Actively seek to understand your client’s brand/business/products/services/industry in order to serve as an advisor on behalf of the agency and readily identify opportunities for growth with existing clients
  • Plan and lead client workshops as a facilitator both inside and outside of committed scopes of work
  • Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and develop POVs on current marketing and technology trends to share with the client and internal team


 

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 10-15+ years of agency account management experience, 1-3 of which have been in an supervisor or leadership capacity on a client account, with a track record of happy clients and colleagues to show for it
  • Experience managing both small and large accounts
  • Proven track record of growing client business and/or success in a sales position (The preferred candidate has personally brought in more than $1MM annually) 
  • Demonstrated supervisory, delegation and strong mentorship skills
  • Well-versed in today’s marketing and media landscape, and you understand how to drive results for clients through your teams
  • Business-savvy, strategic thinker and a creative problem-solver extraordinaire 
  • Impeccable communication, presentation, facilitation and organizational skills
  • Proven experience helping your clients set and achieve their goals
  • Confidence, a constant quest to be ahead of the market, and the ability to ‘get it done’
  • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to bring together cohesive programs and drive results for clients
  • Deep appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence
